Assistant Division Director for Vermont Dept of Disabilities, Aging and Independent Living

Help Wanted

The Vermont Department of Disabilities, Aging and Independent Living is hiring a new Developmental Disabilities Assistant Division Director. Vermont has long been a national leader in community-based services for people with developmental disabilities. A $170 million budget makes this one of Vermont’s largest human service programs. It is an ideal opportunity to lead Vermont’s developmental services state team, help the designated agencies sustain a high level of service, and keep Vermont’s values of independence strong.  This newly created position requires someone with strong leadership skills as well as the ability to work autonomously to identify and implement process improvements, expand outreach to people with developmental disabilities, and create safe and supportive communities.
