Assistant/Associate Professor – Literacy Education at University of Missouri-St. Louis
The University of Missouri-St. Louis, a metropolitan land grant research university, invites applications for a tenure-track position as an Assistant/Associate Professor in Elementary Literacy Education. The Department of Special Education is searching for a tenure track faculty member, with a doctorate in Special Education or related field, with university teaching experience, and strong evidence of research and publication experience, including the preparation and implementation of externally funded grants and contracts. Duties include teaching at the graduate level and supervision of students in off-campus educational settings, as well as the development of a departmental focus in the area of standards-based academic curricula for students with severe intellectual disabilities implemented in general education classroom settings.

Vermont has long been a national leader in community-based services for people with developmental disabilities. A $170 million budget makes this one of Vermont’s largest human service programs. The Brooklyn Campus of Long Island University has an opening for a non-tenure track appointment at the Assistant or Associate level for individuals with a doctorate in Special Education or related field (ABD considered). The applicant needs to have significant middle school and/or high school teaching experience in urban special education, particularly in inclusive settings.
