Things to Know Before You Go!

The 2024 TASH Conference is fast approaching, and we are excited to convene at the Hyatt Regency New Orleans in New Orleans, Louisiana! Here is some information to help you prepare for your travels to New Orleans!

Conference Location

This year’s Conference will be held at the beautiful Hyatt Regency New Orleans, 601 Loyola Avenue, New Orleans, Louisiana 70113 on December 5 – 7, 2024. You can find more information about New Orleans at New Orleans Tourism Office or our brief guide.

Weather

The weather in New Orleans should be warm, but rainy, so it is best to come prepared for anything!

Conference Attire

Conference attire is business casual. In a venue of this size, it can be challenging to get the meeting room temperature to everyone’s liking. So, if you run on the cooler side, be sure to bring a light jacket or sweater. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended.

Due to some attendees’ chemical sensitivities, please refrain from wearing fragrance or scented products during the Conference.

Registration

Your first stop is at the Registration Center (Celestin Foyer, 3^rd floor) to check-in and pick up your name badge. For safety purposes, name badges must be worn at all times at the Hyatt Regency, and you may pick up your name badge only. If you have not registered or need to make a payment, on-site registration will be available.

Conference App

Download the free Conference App on your Apple or Android device by clicking on the appropriate link on the Sched website or by searching for “TASH 2024” in your Apple App store or Google Play. Log in to your Sched account and begin adding sessions to your personalized schedule. For assistance, stop by the Information Center (Celestin Foyer, 3^rd floor).

Conference Schedule

If you haven’t done so already, it’s time to log in to your Sched account and create your profile and schedule. There will be no printed programs distributed onsite other than those who requested one as an accessibility accommodation in advance. If you would like a printed schedule, you can print your customized schedule and bring it with you. If you need assistance with the app or the schedule, stop by the Information Center (Celestin Foyer, 3^rd floor).

Getting Around

Both the New Orleans Streetcars and the Hop-On Hop-Off Bus Tour run right past the Hyatt Regency. The Conference hotel is on the Loyola/UPT Line of the Streetcar and is stop #9 of the Hop-On Hop-Off Bus Tours. For more see the transportation page of the Hyatt Regency New Orleans.

Let’s Connect Lunch

If you are attending the Let’s Connect Lunch, you can still purchase a boxed lunch in advance. A limited number of lunches will be available for purchase on-site. The Hyatt only accepts card and room charge. You are welcome to attend the Let’s Connect lunch brining your own lunch.

Silent Auction

There will be a silent auction running the duration of the Conference. The tables exhibiting the items and the bid sheets will be in the Conference exhibitor area (Celestin Foyer, 3^rd floor). Check them out!

TASH T-Shirts

If you preordered a TASH t-shirt, you can pick it up at the Information Center (Celestin Foyer, 3^rd floor). There will be a limited number of t-shirts for sale on-site.

TASH 50^th Anniversary Poster
