Last week, Virginia Governor Terry McAuliffe signed the conditional pardon of Reginald “Neli” Latson from his room at the VCU Medical Center. For months, TASH along with other disability organizations such as the Autistic Self Advocacy Network, have worked hard to bring attention to the incarceration of Neli. Finally our voices were heard!
Neli will now be transferred to a secure treatment center in Florida where he will receive appropriate care, not incarceration. TASH applauds Governor Terry McAuliffe’s pardon and thanks members for taking action to #FreeNeli.
