❝
And one of the important things about TASH is that there is a role for self-advocates, there’s a role for family members – and also for the researchers and educators and providers and policymakers. We all come together to address issues that affect people with the most significant disabilities.❞
~ Ralph Edwards
TASH Board President, 2015–2017
❝
The vision of TASH in terms of enacting science based on values is really important. And so having these uncompromising TASH values around inclusion and dignity and opportunity and equity – those sorts of things really matter – and making sure the science we do, and the work we do with people with disabilities reflects those values at every turn.❞
~ Jennifer Kurth, Ph.D.
Associate Professor of Special Education, University of Kansas
❝
I fell into TASH and I felt like home when I was brought in. … I came to my first TASH Conference; I saw people using letter boards and using FC and using AAC and … it became somewhat of an obsession that people needed to be allowed to communicate … that was one of the first things that really brought me here.❞
~ Emily Titon
