Dear friends,
We hope everyone had a very Happy Thanksgiving. As we enter this holiday season, and look towards Giving Tuesday (December 3) we at TASH have much to be thankful for, including our committed members and supporters who help us advance our mission.
As you know, TASH has been a progressive leader in disability advocacy since 1975. We’ll be celebrating our 50th Anniversary in 2025; we will celebrate our past and look forward this coming year, as we continue to advocate for equity, opportunity and inclusion for all people with disabilities, especially those with the most significant support needs, in all aspects of life including education, employment, and community living.
In 2024, TASH continued to play a pivotal role in the Disability Employment Technical Assistance Center (DETAC), participated in the Disability Policy Seminar (please consider attending in 2025, an especially critical time as we defend Medicaid and other programs vital to people with disabilities), honored Steven Schwartz, JD, with our Outstanding Leadership in Disability Law award and helped to inform and educate Congress and the Administration on the issues we all care about, including through our Action Center that engages self advocates and allies in policy advocacy.
We continue to produce two quarterly journals, Inclusive Practices, geared to practitioners and our highly regarded, peer-reviewed journal, Research and Practice for Persons with Severe Disabilities. We continue to offer outstanding educational and professional development opportunities through our annual Conference and hope to see many of you at the 2024 TASH Conference in New Orleans on December 5-7.
We’re grateful to our passionate and committed members and allies who continue to support TASH and its mission; your generous support is essential to our continued work and success. As we approach Giving Tuesday, we hope that you will make a donation now to support TASH’s work. Your donation is fully tax deductible. and will help to assure that TASH can continue to advance equity, opportunity and inclusion for people with disabilities through advocacy, research and practice.
Thank you for your consideration and generosity.
With gratitude,
