Linda Metchikoff-Hooker comes to TASH with over 25 years of experience in project management, leadership development, technical assistance, coaching, and conference planning services. She brings a contagious leadership style and a personal commitment to excellence that has resulted in exceeding expectations of clients such as the US Departments of Labor (DOL), Education (ED) and Health and Human Services (HHS). She places her internal and external customers in the highest regard; for strong relationships produce great outcomes – in quality, communication, performance, and service.
Her recent accomplishments include the hiring and procurement of near 1,200 non-Federal panelists for 73 discretionary grant reviews over 6.5 years; providing technical assistance and training to newly-awarded grantees, which includes planning/implementation, coaching, event coordination, and performance reporting. As Manager of Events and Special Projects, Linda has successfully planned and executed over 60 national, regional, and state-level convenings with an audience size ranging from 30 to 815. It was a project with the Advisory Committee on Increasing Competitive Employment for Individuals with Disabilities (ACICIEID) that connected her to the disability community and the importance of inclusion. While working part-time, Linda’s planning and organization skills will be vital in coordinating the TASH 2017 Annual Conference on December 13-15, 2017, in Atlanta, GA.
Linda is a Malcolm Baldrige certified examiner with the California Council for Excellence, a certified executive/life coach and holds her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Organizational Leadership.
In her spare time, she enjoys performing in musical productions such as Sound of Music, Annie, Fiddler on the Roof, Music Man and Cinderella; quilting, gardening, spending time with family and friends, and enjoying the great outdoors!
