Join TASH in welcoming our new summer intern, Paige Bradford! This fall, Paige will enter her second year as a doctoral student at The George Washington University and is receiving a degree in special education. She has previously worked as a special education teacher for students with severe disabilities and as an in-home service provider. Paige is planning to complete her dissertation on inclusion with a focus on students with severe disabilities and medical fragility.
This summer, Paige will be working on a variety of projects including a literature review focusing on the history of the self-advocacy movement and its intersections with the civil rights and LGBTQ movement. She will also be working on a project focused on paraprofessionals working in the inclusive classroom and working with local groups to advocate and inform Congresspeople on the importance of Medicaid.
Welcome, Paige!
