The MARYLAND COALITION FOR INCLUSIVE EDUCATION (MCIE) offers an exciting opportunity for a professional with outstanding knowledge and skills in inclusive academic and behavioral instruction, education research, and program evaluation. Join a team of professionals working to build the capacity of schools to provide quality and successful inclusive education services. The Professional Development Facilitator will design and deliver instruction and technical assistance to educators in schools and districts across the state of Maryland on a variety of topics. Skills required are expertise in effective practices that promote engagement and learning for ALL students, including those with learning, intellectual, developmental, and emotional disabilities. In addition to direct support to teachers and schools, the Facilitator will assist with the collection, analysis, and dissemination of data on student, teacher, and school performance and develop and implement program evaluation activities. Excellent communication and teaching skills and knowledge of adult learning (including coaching) and team facilitation are required. Applicants should have a Master’s or Doctoral Degree in Education, Special Education, Psychology, Curriculum and Instruction, or a related field. General education teaching experience and/or dual certification preferred. Experience working directly with students and/or staff in schools required. Proficiency with research methodology and data collection and analysis needed. The ability to travel Statewide is required.
