This year we are re-introducing “Recreation & Leisure” sessions at the TASH Conference. As legislative advances help secure full integration of people with I/DD in the community, it is imperative that we pay attention to this topic. Recreation and leisure is an integral part of everyone’s life. Imagine how your life would be had you not met your best friend at camp or at the park; or if you had not discovered your love for a specific music genre at a concert? Indeed, recreation and leisure is meaningful to us all.

This past summer, we interviewed Susan Fleming during a podcast episode of TASH Amplified. Susan talks about the importance of recreation and leisure in a fully integrated life in the community as well as the new track being added to the 2016 TASH Conference schedule. Susan will be co-presenting with and Brandie Martine on how to create inclusive cycling communities.
