Support the 2011 Spring Membership Drive and win and Apple iPad!

The Spring Membership Drive is underway and TASH is giving away an Apple iPad! Why an iPad? Since its introduction the Apple iPad has been heralded for its accessibility features and the growing number of apps in the iTunes store designed with persons with disabilities in mind.

Here’s how you can have some fun and support TASH!

1) Tell your friends, family and colleagues about the benefits of TASH membership.

2) All new members will tell us who referred them on their membership application.

3) Each referral (that means YOU) will be entered to win an Apple iPad!

The deadline for the Spring Membership Drive is June 10. There’s no limit to the number of times you can enter. And we want to make it easy for you – so here are some tips and resources!

Gift a membership – provide a friend, family member or colleague with a gift membership to TASH! It’s a unique, personal way to show your support. Perfect for birthdays, anniversaries or other occasions.

Membership benefits – all TASH members receive TASH Connections, the TASH research journal Research and Practice for Persons with Severe Disabilities, the TASH in Action electronic newsletter, discounts to purchases from the TASH store and participation in TASH events, including the annual TASH Conference and educational webinars.

How to tell a friend, family member or colleague – you probably know someone who should be a TASH member. Personalize this note and let them know what TASH is all about:

Hi [insert their name],

I want to let you know about an organization that supports the rights and interests of people with significant disabilities. TASH has been around for more than 35 years, and supports practices and policies that improve the lives of people with disabilities. I’m a member, and I want you to consider joining as well.

As a member, you’ll have access to the latest news and research, gain insight into what’s happening with legislation in Washington, D.C., and be a part of a growing network of professionals and advocates who are creating positive change in the world. TASH also holds an annual conference that features advocates, families, people with disabilities and leading professionals from around the U.S. and abroad.

Just visit this website and see some of the work TASH is involved in – www.tashorgstg.wpengine.com. You can also see an issue from Connections, TASH’s magazine, here – https://tash.org/about/publications. Take and look and consider joining. I hope you will.
