Join us in welcoming one of our summer interns, Cassandra Willis, to the TASH team! Cassandra Willis is a 3rd-year doctoral student in the Research to Policy Advocacy Program in the Counseling and Special Education Department at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) in Richmond, VA. She is beginning her dissertation in the area of administrative support of early career special education teachers. She has spent 17+ years in public education in a variety of roles including special education teacher and math supervisor. She is excited to be interning at TASH and hopes to learn more about the role advocacy plays in the lives of students with disabilities. Cassandra attended the University of Virginia as an undergraduate and received her Masters and a Post Graduate Certificate in Administration and Supervision from VCU. She is married with two children. In her spare time she enjoys traveling and days with no appointments!
