Accessibility and Support; Outstanding Leadership in Disability Law Symposium and Award Celebration

As part of TASH’s work to ensure ALL are included at this meeting, we have implemented a number of measures to support your participation at the Outstanding Leadership in Disability Law (OLDL) meeting.

Meeting Program

To get support with the Meeting program, visit the TASH meeting registration center. A staff member will help you with any questions.

Meeting Program

The meeting schedule is available through any web browser. We will have free WIFI available for all conference attendees. The WIFI network name and access key will be posted at the meeting.

CART Services

TASH will provide live CART transcription available during the Symposium and part of the reception.

COVID-19

Face masks are optional. We ask that you respect people’s decision, whether to wear a mask or to not wear a mask.

Meeting Code of Conduct

TASH is committed to our Meeting being conducted in an environment in which all individuals are treated with respect and dignity, free from harassment, for participants of all physical and intellectual abilities, physical appearances, behavioral support needs, body sizes, races, national origins, gender and trans identities, sexual orientations, ages, family and marital statuses, veteran status, and beliefs, whether religious, political or otherwise. Harassment includes, but is not limited to: deliberate intimidation; stalking; unwanted photography or recording; sustained disruption of talks or other events; disparaging or disrespectful remarks, inappropriate physical contact; and unwelcome sexual attention. We ask everyone to be mindful of how you interact with others – and to remember that harassment is not about what you intend, but about how your words or actions are received.

As it is sometimes perceived that a different set of rules apply to the Internet, we also want to remind you that what is said and done online (e.g. Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, instant messaging) is just as real as what happens in-person.

This policy against harassment is not intended to limit open discussion of the merits of particular work or issues presented at the TASH MEETING. People are allowed to disagree with each other. When people disagree, they must treat each other with respect and dignity.

Disciplinary Action

By attending the OLDL, you agree to maintain and support our meeting as a harassment-free space. If you feel that someone has harassed you or otherwise treated you inappropriately – or you have witnessed inappropriate or harassing behavior – please alert any member of the TASH staff (identifiable by STAFF badges). If an attendee engages in disrespectful behavior, the TASH staff may take any action we deem appropriate, including but not limited to warning the offender or requiring the offender to leave the MEETING. No refunds will be offered to anyone asked to leave the MEETING for disrespectful behavior.

TASH is not responsible for the actions of others. Individuals are responsible for their own actions.

The culture of the TASH Meeting is everyone’s responsibility

One of the defining characteristics of the Outstanding Leadership in Disability Law (OLDL) meeting is that everyone contributes to making a welcoming, supportive environment. Please do not let someone in need of support go unassisted; if a need is greater than you can address yourself, please ask for assistance, either from TASH staff or other Conference attendees.

We welcome your feedback, and we thank you for working together to make this an inclusive, enjoyable, and welcoming experience for everyone who participates.
