Assistant Director for Special Education

Rockland BOCES is seeking an Assistant Director of Special Education to support the Special Education Division and the Assistant Superintendent of Student Services.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in program development, implementation and evaluation for students with disabilities K-12

• Problem solve with school wide teams, building administrators, component districts, and other community providers to ensure quality programming and compliance with district, state and federal guidelines

• Skilled in data gathering, management and analysis

• Thorough knowledge of special education law

• Ability to work well as a member of an administrative leadership team

• Excellent oral and written communication skills

• Minimum of 3 years administrative experience

• Doctorate and Experience in a BOCES preferred
