StoryCorps at the 2011 TASH Conference

CALL FOR STORIES

Attendees at the 2011 TASH Conference are invited to take part in a unique opportunity to record their stories with StoryCorps. TASH is seeking pairs of people (storytelling partners) who are willing to record, share and preserve the stories of their lives during a 40 minute interview. Now’s your chance to make your voice heard!

Deadline for story proposals: Monday, October 24, 2011

What is StoryCorps?

StoryCorps is an independent nonprofit project whose mission is to provide Americans of all backgrounds and beliefs the opportunity to record, share, and preserve the stories of our lives. This year StoryCorps is collaborating with the 2011 TASH Conference to make the stories and voices of stakeholders in the TASH Community heard!

How can you submit your story to be considered?

You and your story telling partner can submit a short description of your story online, over email or over the phone by October 24, 2011. There are three ways you can submit:

1. Fill out our online form.

2. Email storycorps@p2pga.org with your name, your interview partner’s name, your contact information (phone or email) and a brief paragraph of the story you wish to share.

3. Call us at (202) 540-9020.

Six stories will be pre-selected for recording on-site at the TASH Conference. Notifications about this will go out no later than November 15, 2011. Because this will be offered at the TASH Conference, all StoryCorps participants must be registered conference attendees.

All other contributors will be encouraged to schedule an appointment at the StoryCorps facility located a few miles from the conference site on Saturday, December 3.
