The Department of Special Education at the University of Utah is seeking two outstanding individuals for tenure-track professor positions (one Assistant Professor, one Assistant or Associate Professor) in the areas of Early Childhood Special Education and / or supporting students with the most significant needs (e.g., severe disabilities, multiple disabilities, deaf-blind, medically fragile). Candidates must conduct research in their area of specialization, teach courses in early childhood special education and/or supporting students with the most significant needs, and seek extramural research and training grants. Preference may be given to candidates who offer one or more of the following preferred qualifications:
- demonstrated expertise in a range of research methodologies and advanced statistical modelling,
- experience in family centered models of service delivery,
- knowledge and skills in providing culturally appropriate support to students with disabilities and their families,
- teaching distance and on-line courses, and
- national BCBA certification.
