The Department of Special Education at the University of Utah Seeks Two Tenure-Track Professors

The Department of Special Education at the University of Utah is seeking two outstanding individuals for tenure-track professor positions (one Assistant Professor, one Assistant or Associate Professor) in the areas of Early Childhood Special Education and / or supporting students with the most significant needs (e.g., severe disabilities, multiple disabilities, deaf-blind, medically fragile). Candidates must conduct research in their area of specialization, teach courses in early childhood special education and/or supporting students with the most significant needs, and seek extramural research and training grants. Preference may be given to candidates who offer one or more of the following preferred qualifications:

  1. demonstrated expertise in a range of research methodologies and advanced statistical modelling,
  2. experience in family centered models of service delivery,
  3. knowledge and skills in providing culturally appropriate support to students with disabilities and their families,
  4. teaching distance and on-line courses, and
  5. national BCBA certification.
