Univ of Missouri-St. Louis Seeks Assistant/Associate Professor

Assistant or Associate Professor of Early Childhood Education/Special Education: The College of Education at the University of Missouri – St. Louis seeks applications for a full- time, tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor of Early Childhood Education with an emphasis in Special Education. Applicants must have a doctorate in Early Childhood Education (ECE) with demonstrated competencies in Special Education, or a doctorate in Special Education, with demonstrated competencies in ECE, earned by time of appointment; and possess at least 2 years of successful teaching in early childhood contexts. In addition, it is preferred that the candidate has experience teaching collegiate courses in Early Childhood Education and/or Special Education. The primary purposes of this position are: teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, working with practica students in community organizations and partner schools, contributing to scholarship through publications and presentations, advising students, participating in discipline-specific or university-related service, conducting an active research program, and securing external grant funding.

The candidate in this position will teach a required number of student credit hours per academic year, as determined by the College of Education and department chair. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience. The College is NCATE accredited, and graduates are certified as teachers through Missouri’s Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.
