With state and federal budget cuts to disability services and supports, proposed legislative measures with unintended consequences for people with disabilities and the continued presence of attitudinal barriers, the need to build community and strength among fellow advocates has never been greater. With a network of state-based chapters, TASH is able to make an impact at federal, state and grassroots levels.
Are you interested in learning more about what TASH Chapters do and how you can get involved? Join us for an informational How to Start a TASH Chapter conference call in August! Here, you’ll be able to hear from TASH Chapter leaders themselves about how they got started, what their current projects and activities are, how they handle financial and organizational challenges and more.
We’re working to identify a time that accommodates everyone. Let us know what date works for you in the survey below. We’ll announce our meeting time on the blog by August 5.
