Conferences & Events

For more than 35 years, TASH has connected advocates, educators and other professionals to the information and resources they need. Through conferences, webinars and other events and training opportunities, TASH brings you the latest information, best practices and research that support equity, opportunity and inclusion for persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

TASH enables people of all walks of life to meet and network through the TASH Conference or other in-person and virtual networking opportunities. Join colleagues, neighbors and friends who share a passion for knowledge and social justice.

TASH Conference

The TASH Conference is the advocacy, networking and educational event of the year, attracting speakers and attendees from all over the world. Each year, self-advocates, educators, service providers and others come together to learn, share and grow. TASH Conference participants hear from the nation’s leading experts and advocates on topics such as inclusive education, customized employment, community supports, health and wellness and advocacy. The conference features more than 200 educational sessions and a number of networking opportunities, including the self-advocate and young professional forums. Most importantly, TASH Conference participants contribute to national advocacy efforts that improve the lives of people with disabilities, and advance the work of professionals in the field.

Other Events

TASH’s grassroots network is the heart and soul behind effective systems change. To this end, TASH Chapters have taken on the role of educating others in their communities through their state and regional conferences. Arizona TASH, Cal-TASH and New England TASH each host annual conferences, ensuring that TASH values permeate communities across the nation. Many other TASH Chapters hold events throughout the year, so check back often as these are updated in our events calendar.

TASH commits itself to conducting congressional briefings during each legislative session to inform legislators and staff members of the issues affecting disability community. Past briefings have focused on inclusive education opportunities, eliminating sub-minimum wage and increasing supported employment initiatives, and reducing disparities for people of diverse backgrounds with disabilities.

TASH holds other events throughout the year, including symposiums and other meetings, and welcomes the participation and input of anyone interested in promoting equity, opportunity and inclusion for people with disabilities.
