Using MARTA to travel from the Atlanta Airport to the Marriott Marquis

MARTA, Atlanta’s rail system, is the quickest and most cost-effective way to get to the Atlanta Marriott Marquis (265 Peachtree Center Avenue) from the Atlanta Airport. The airport MARTA station is located in the ground transportation area, near baggage claim.

MARTA fare is $2.50 for a one-way trip, $5.00 for a round trip, with free transfers automatically added when you use a Breeze Card or ticket for payment. Fare can be purchased at all MARTA rail stations or online, with the choice of adding fare to a plastic Breeze Card ($2) or disposable paper ticket ($1). Learn more about MARTA fares. Once you’ve purchased a Breeze Card, tap it at the turnstile to enter the station. The train platform is at the top of the escalators. Both trains that depart from the airport (the Gold line to Doraville, and the Red line to North Springs) travel north through downtown, and reach your destination – Peachtree Center MARTA Station – in 17 minutes.

Exit the train at the Peachtree Center MARTA Station. Once at the station, follow the signs to the Harris Street exit after getting off the train, and then to Peachtree Street East. At street level, turn right to walk north along Peachtree Street. Turn right again at the first intersection on Harris Street, then left at the next block on Peachtree Center Avenue. Approximate walking time from the fare gate is only three minutes. If you don’t want to walk outside, you can also exit the station into the Peachtree Center mall where there’s a skybridge connection.

Trains run every 10 minutes on weekdays and every 20 minutes on weekends. View the MARTA map.
